Ministries and Outreach

Mt. Pleasant Church serves the Taylorstown, Lovettsville and surrounding western Loudoun

County in many capacities and the outreach continues nationally and globally.

Local Food Delivery

Frequent collections are taken each month toward local food banks. The congregation also periodically delivers meals to those in the community who may need help from time to time.

Food Pantry

Introducing the Mt. Pleasant small food pantry. Located behind the church adjacent to the brick storage building. Now available for use. Please make sure to close the doors securely following use. Take what you need, give what you can. This is a community service and no one is turned away. Only non-perishable foods available.

Strong mission Outreach

Congregation members gather to help with improvements and repairs where identified. Helping the community is essential to the heartbeat of Mt. Pleasant Church.

Graduating High School Seniors

Seniors graduating from high school receive a personal Bible from Mt. Pleasant to continue their studies of God's word as they determine their next path. Presentations are conducted each June.

The Potluck

Mt. Pleasant enjoys not only donating food, but, eating it too!

Each third Sunday there is a potluck brunch held immediately following the service. Nothing fancy, it's usually about the fellowship. Join us.

Holiday Outreach

Each Thanksgiving and Christmas brothers and sisters at Mt. Pleasant generously provide donations toward food and necessities to the community. In addition, there is a monetary collection designated toward a specific organization.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer Mt. Pleasant education staff prepares memorable, Bible centered experiences for children in kindergarten through middle school. Thanks to a collective group of volunteers that include all ages and donations this ministry is a gift of love.

Rise Against Hunger

The global organization Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief non-profit organization that coordinates the packaging and distribution of food and other aid to people in developing nations. Mt. Pleasant provides the donations both financially and volunteers to host a meal packing event in coordination with other groups from the community

Ben and Jasmin Seidl are based in Weimar, Germany, serving and supporting ministry effort across Germany and Europe.

Together, we enable missionaries to stay focused, encouraged, and effective in the workof building God’s Kingdom.
